Dr. Steven Parker graduated with honors from the University of Queensland in 1985. He then joined the Defence Force as a Dental Officer. In 1997 Dr. Parker was selected to attend the Diploma in Clinical Dentistry (Oral Surgery) at the University of Otago in New Zealand which he passed with distinction.
In 1998 (and again in 2004) he completed the Early Management of Severe Trauma course held by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. In 2000 he was selected to attend the Diploma in Clinical Dentistry (Conscious Sedation and Pain Control) at the University of Sydney which he completed and was awarded the ASDA award for excellence as the top qualifying student.
Dr. Parker resigned from the Regular Army in 2001 but transferred to the Reserves on promotion to Lieutenant Colonel as a consultant in Sedation and Pain Control.
He now provides oral surgical and sedation services to private practices in the Sydney region and is currently completing a Diploma in Hypnosis through the Australian Society of Hypnosis. Dr. Parker has lectured widely throughout Australia on topics concerned with pain and anxiety control.
