Michelle Hurlbutt claims she has had the best of all worlds of dental hygiene. A graduate of the University of Nebraska, with a BS in Dental Hygiene and the University of Missouri, Kansas City, with a MS in Dental Hygiene Education, Michelle’s career has included private practice, public health, corporate, continuing education, consulting and dental hygiene education. She holds an herbal information specialist certificate with the American Botanical Council. Currently Michelle works weekly in a high-tech, aesthetic dental practice in Upland, CA.
In addition, she is a full-time Assistant Professor at Loma Linda University, Department of Dental Hygiene, in Loma Linda, CA, where she is the course director for nutrition and pharmacology courses. She is the Director of Loma Linda University’s online BSDH degree completion program, where she also teaches research, education and cariology courses. Michelle has been an active member of ADHA all of her career. She is a past president of the California Dental Hygienists’ Association (CDHA) and the Nebraska Dental Hygienists’ Association.
