MARLENA SHORE, RDHAP, MS has been a Registered Dental Hygienist since 1999, graduating from West Los Angeles College with Honors. In 2003 she continued her education and graduated in the first class from WLAC to become a Registered Dental Hygienist in Alternative Practice. Marlena holds a BS degree in Dental Hygiene from Northern Arizona University (Magna Cum Laude) and a MS. degree from Loma Linda University in Health Professions Education (Cum Laude).
Marlena is an Adjunct Professor II at West Coast University in Anaheim, California where she is Course Director for Radiology Interpretation and also instructs in the clinic and lab settings. At Cerritos College in Norwalk, California she is the Course Director for Research & Dental Hygiene Biostatistics and Oral Pathology. She is a member of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association, California Dental Hygienists’ Association, American Dental Education Association, California Dental Hygiene Educators’ Association and Sigma Phi Alpha Honor Society. Currently, Marlena serves as a Co-Chair for the Student Relations Council for CDHA and has served on the Task Force of Alternative Criteria for Dental Hygiene Competency for Initial Licensure.
