Dr Anthony Au received his BDS and MDSc in prosthodontics from the University of Sydney. He also has Fellowships in the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons and the International College of Dentists. He is a member of the International College of Prosthodontists and Academy of Australian and New Zealand Prosthodontists.
Dr Au is an innovative prosthodontist in private practice and has had many years of teaching experience in the disciplines of Occlusion, Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics and Dental Implants at the University of Sydney and helped coordinate the Orofacial Pain Clinic at Westmead Hospital. During his time as a lecturer, he was involved in the integration of the teaching of Occlusion and the restorative disciplines, with emphasis on evidence-based treatment. Currently, he is a visiting senior lecturer teaching in the MDSc (prosthodontics) programme at University of Sydney. Dr Au has published more than 20 articles and abstracts in international refereed journals and is known locally and internationally for his light-hearted, interactive style of presentation. He has also given presentations on practice management using his unique surgery set up as an example.
